1. Start with official directories
We use diocesan and parish-owned pages as primary sources. Third-party directories are not copied into our database.
2. Store structured schedules
Day, time, language, service type and validity period are stored separately so visitors can search by their actual need.
3. Detect meaningful changes
Approved official schedule pages are revisited at a bounded frequency when their access policy allows it. A schedule-focused content fingerprint can detect a change without copying unrelated page content; blocked, oversized or unrecognized pages fail closed.
4. Keep a human decision
A detected change creates a private review item and never replaces public Mass times automatically. Source URLs, check outcomes and review history remain available to operators.
5. Welcome corrections
Parishes and visitors can submit a correction with a supporting official source. Community submissions also remain private until reviewed.
