Houston’s Catholic community includes parishes with Spanish-only, English-only and bilingual celebrations. The label matters, but so do the date of the schedule and the official source behind it.
Start with the language filter
Open the Mass finder and select Spanish. Results show churches that have at least one matching Mass in the pilot data. A bilingual Mass is listed separately because it may use both languages in readings, music or preaching rather than providing a fully Spanish celebration.
Compare the full Sunday schedule
Many parishes offer several Sunday Masses and may assign a different language to each time. Open the church listing before choosing. The detail page separates day, time and language so that an English service at the same parish is not mistaken for the Spanish option.
Use location after language
A closer parish is not always the most practical choice if its Spanish Mass occurs at an inconvenient time. Compare two or three options, then check the address and official parish link. Houston travel times can change substantially by neighborhood and time of day, so leave a reasonable buffer.
Check the verification date
The verification date tells you when the listed source was last reviewed; it is not a guarantee that no later announcement exists. Recently checked data is more useful than an undated schedule, but holiday and event exceptions still deserve a final confirmation.
Confirm special dates
Christmas, Holy Week, Easter, the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe and other major celebrations may use schedules created specifically for that date. Parish bulletins, home-page notices and social channels may carry those updates before the regular Mass-times page changes.
If a schedule is wrong
Use the correction form on the church page. Include the official parish or diocesan link that shows the new time or language. The change enters a review queue and is not published automatically, protecting visitors from unverified submissions.
En español
Selecciona “Spanish” en el buscador, abre la ficha de la iglesia y verifica el horario, la fecha de revisión y el enlace oficial. En días festivos o celebraciones especiales, confirma directamente con la parroquia antes de viajar.
